Vitamin E Powder or Liquid
Horses are athletes that are prone to exercise-induced muscle damage. Vitamin E is a critical antioxidant necessary for removal of reactive oxygen metabolites and free radicals formed during exercise. Free radicals and reactive oxygen metabolites damage muscle cell membranes, proteins, and lipids, thereby reducing the muscle’s ability to function.
What is Vitamin E?
- Vitamin E is an essential fat soluble non-toxic vitamin that plays a role in the optimum function of muscular, circulatory, nervous and immune systems
Why do I need Vitamin E and what does it do?
- Excercise produces 'free radicals' which are toxic to the body. These 'free radicals' are harmful by-products of excercise
- Vitamin E breaks down these products should they be present in the system
- Vitamin E is thought to increase the activity of the immune system and increases muscular activity
